What we’re about
WHY KCBRO?
If you're over 25, you might be one of many guys who've thought, "Damn, it's hard to make new friends, these days." As grown men, we get busy building our careers and families, slogging through the dating scene, managing our day-to-day affairs, sometimes moving from city to city, and then, *boom*: We realize our friends have become acquaintances, and we’d give our figurative left nuts to just bro out from time to time with some good buddies.
I was one of those guys until, one day, I decided to take the bull by the horns and start a group for guys of all ages to connect with each other. So, KCBRO is now a thing that exists. Join up, and let’s get to it. No need to keep lone-wolfing it for the rest our days.
WHO SHOULD BE A KCBRO?
KCBRO is open to guys of all ages who want to hang out with other guys and do guy stuff together. What type of guy is a good fit for KCBRO? It’s not complicated: just good guys doing good things in life who want to make some friends, have some fun, and maybe come out the other end feeling better connected and supported among their fellow men.
Maybe you're new in town, maybe you're coming up for air after years of working 80+ hours/week, or maybe you've been too X, Y, or Z to have time to make new friendships with other guys. Whatever your obstacle, this group just might be a solution.
No “isms” or [insert-group-here]phobias of any kind. KCBROs are Good Guy Gregs, not Scumbag Steves (https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/good-guy-greg).
KCBRO is not a faith-based or faith-promoting group, but I want us to keep a broad intention to promote healthy/upstanding living among ourselves and do good in our communities. Women are also welcome to become honorary KCBROs (after all, my two best friends are women).
WHAT IS "GUY STUFF?"
Guy stuff is anything guys do together: Playing 4-player Mario Kart 64 on a Saturday afternoon is guy stuff. Eating sushi in the Plaza is guy stuff. Sitting around, talking about life and relationships is guy stuff. Friday night horror movies and beers at Screenland Armour is guy stuff. Off-Broadway shows, Chiefs games, bowling, cosplay, MMA classes . . . Guy stuff is whatever we want it to be.
