Alex and Nathan will recap what Effective Altruism is and how it aligns with Oasis values, and then do a deep dive into some EA tools that you can use to start making a difference in your own life.

Alex Hedtke is the organizer for Kansas City Effective Altruism, a community dedicated to learning from each other about how to do good better. His mission is to improve the world through rationality and compassion, and to have fun while doing it.

Nathan Dunkerly is a former cancer researcher, working toward a career in countering bioterrorism. He describes himself as a professional scientist, everything-else enthusiast.
