Kris Kato is a Hawaiian chant practitioner. In 2015, he completed the \`uniki rites of the Edith Kanaka\`ole Foundation under the direction of Dr. Pualani Kanaka\`ole Kanahele. He has shared chants for Hālāwai NYC, Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage, Indigenous People's Day with Te Ao Mana, Hui O Kaulana Mahina NYC, and Ka Lā Hoihoi Ea New York City. Kahu Kris continues to share the sacred songs of Hawai\`i as he was taught and when they are needed.
