What we’re about
Welcome to the Meetup page for the Kent LDWA walking group.
We are a friendly and dynamic group who enjoys discovering our countryside on foot.
We organise social walks almost every weekend all around Kent, which are all lead by volunteers. Their distance is usually around 20 miles and most include a pub stop when possible. We walk around the entire county but sometimes venture in Surrey , Sussex and even ... France!
We also hold three challenge events every year, where you can discover an area at your own pace, following a route description, fed and watered along the way at several checkpoints.
We are looking forward to meeting you at our next walk – any question, please shout! You can also visit our website for more information: https://ldwa.org.uk/Kent
Non members are welcome to try us for three walks, but then we ask that you join the national LDWA at http://www.ldwa.org.uk/.
This is £18 per year (£15 for direct debit) and allows you to walk with any group in the country, as well as receive Strider magazine three times a year and get discounts on our hundreds of challenge events.

https://ldwa.org.uk/Kent/E/30757/pilgrimage.htmlAlthough it is not necessary to "book in" for walks, it would be helpful to let the leader know that you intend joining the walk (or can no longer make it if you have booked on), as not doing so may mean that the group leaves without you or is waiting for you to arrive. If you know your LDWA membership number, please also let the walk leader know.
