What we’re about
Kent Tech Meetup is a monthly meetup for anyone working in or wanting to work in the technology space. This can be everyone from web developers and software engineers, through to infrastructure engineers or embedded applications.
Previously know as The Kent Web Meetup, we have recently decided to widen the audience to anyone working in technology - remaining focussed primarily on writing code.
Over the last decade, there is now a much greater overlap between "web development" and "software engineering" so it made sense to us that the group remained relevant to progression in the industry, and it allows for more enriching conversations with a wider group of members at events.
Our members come from web agencies, product companies, ISPs and in-house dev teams and are at a very wide range of points in their careers - from students to CTOs.
We meet every month in Maidstone and discuss the latest technologies and best practices.
We have recently joined forces with another local group Maidstone Software Meetup and we will now run events as a single meetup as Kent Tech Meetup.
