Kingston Community Drumming Wellbeing Drum Circle
Details
Join our weekly Wellbeing Drum Circle at the Kingston Library every Friday 1-2pm to start your weekend full of positive energy by releasing stress, anxiety and frustration and improving your mental health.
The focus of these workshops is to use drumming as a vehicle to release stress, to practice mindfulness and to reach a meditative/flow state in a welcoming, friendly and inclusive environment.
Engaging in rhythmic drumming induces a relaxation response, lowering stress levels and promoting a sense of calm. The repetitive nature of drumming provides a meditative experience, helping individuals to disconnect from everyday stressors, reduce anxiety, and promotes mental clarity.
Finally, group drumming creates and enhances social bonds and fosters a sense of community, thus fighting social isolation.
