What we’re about

This is a group for people who enjoy trying new wines, wine education, sharing delicious food and socializing with warm and engaging people.  We have monthly socials with different themes. Occasionally, we have presentations about wine and wine tasting from knowledgeable people.

Bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer or a dessert for sharing.  You can double up with another person to share bringing the food and wine, if you wish.  This is a self-serve event.  Members are not required to taste all or any of the wines.

This group is open to adults only who are over 19 years of age. Couples, singles, newcomers – basically anyone who loves good wine and food and wants to make new friends. This is not a dating group. An approximate range to spend on wine would be anywhere from $12 to $25. If you want to splurge and go higher just know that not everyone is able to do the same. If you are buying a lower cost wine, try to find the best wine you can for the cost. There are some wonderful low-cost wines from Portugal, for example. The folks at the LCBO can help you pick one out.

Please drink and drive responsibly or arrange alternate transportation.

Your organizer,
Peggy

Please note:  When events are held in private homes, it cannot be guaranteed or expected that these will be allergen free events.   We will notify members if pets will be present.  However, the food and wine served may contain nuts, sulphites, dairy, gluten and other substances which may cause allergic reactions.  Also, other air borne particles and scents to which some may react may be present.  Those with allergies should be aware of these circumstances and take necessary precautions.  Good wine tasting guidelines suggest limiting personal scents as they interfere with the bouquet of the wine.
