What we’re about
Welcome to the Kingston Knitting Bee! We hope you’ll feel at home and become a regular! We’re a welcoming group of knitters, crocheters and stitchers who come together weekly to stitch, chat, and enthuse about all things fibre-y. There are experts available to help with tricky techniques, but our members come in all skill levels and interests and are just generally happy to cheer each other on!
Our weekly meetings are friendly hangouts, not formal classes, so please bring along your current project and necessary tools. Or if you're a complete novice, and would like a quick, informal lesson, please DM Christine ahead of the meetup, bring along a ball of wool and needles and learn to knit or crochet-- there's always someone eager to help.
COVID-19 Safety at our meet-ups:
Community spirit is integral to the fabric of KKB! We value the safety of the members of our wonderful knitting and stitching community.
Please do not attend a meet-up if you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19.
Inclusion matters to us!
We celebrate the unique creativity of all individuals and value diverse heritages, traditions and life experiences. It's important to our members that you feel welcome here!
(Kingston Knitting Bee was formerly 'Hands Coffee Company Kingston Knitting Meetup,' from April 2015 to January 2016. We also met at Glutopia Bakery from January 2016 to June 2019.)
