Q: Is this a class?
A: No, this is a casual language exchange meetup for all levels of Korean and English learners.

Q: Is it okay if I don’t speak any Korean/am a total beginner?
A: Some prior Korean learning experience is preferred, but all levels are welcome.

Q: I’m going to arrive late, is that okay?
A: Yes, you can show up at any time and find a seat.

Q: Is there anything I should bring or prepare for my first day?
A: We recommend bringing a pen and paper to take notes and any language questions you might have! But it is not required.

Q: What can I expect? How is the meetup conducted?
A: We have a very casual meetup atmosphere. Conversation topics will be suggested weekly, and each table will have at least one native Korean and English speaker (depending on attendance). We suggest that everyone attempts to speak in their target language, but it is not enforced if you are not yet comfortable.

Q: The RSVP count looks low, how many people usually show up per week?
A: We usually have around 15-35 people attend per week.

Please note: This is NOT a dating meetup or a singles’ mixer. Any harassment of our members will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to remove you from the group if you make others uncomfortable. Please help us maintain the positive environment that we have created and fostered over the past 13+ years!
