Although death is the most obvious and simplest truth of our existence, very few of us have come to terms with this fact. Rather than being something to fear or deny, contemplating death can be a positive and transformative experience. In Buddhism, a simple daily reminder of our mortality inspires us to let go of the petty and unimportant worries and concerns in favour of what really matters in life.
