IMPORTANT!!! As the doors open at 6 PM PST, IT MAY BE GOOD TO ARRIVE EARLY, SO I HAVE SCHEDULED THE MEETING TIME FOR 6 pm INSTEAD OF 7 PM SO WE CAN ALL GET A GOOD SEAT FOR THE CONCERT. WE CAN TRY TO SAVE SEATS NEAR THE GROUP FOR THOSE WHO ARRIVE LATE.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended for concerts as seating has first come, first serve.

IMPORTANT!!! Please assemble at the designated Meetup area specified in the Meetup ad for this event. We should meet up as a group PRIOR to going into the auditorium to be able to chat a bit and get to know each other better, ok???

Concert Description:

The Santa Monica Symphony proudly presents an evening of diverse and captivating music led by guest conductor Pola Benke. Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides Overture opens the concert with a sweeping seascape of emotional depth. Dmitry Kabalevsky’s Cello Concerto No. 1 follows, contrasting energetic vitality with soulful introspection. Josef Strauss’ enchanting Sphärenklänge Waltz enchants with its celestial elegance. The concert concludes with Joseph Haydn’s delightful Symphony No. 94, Surprise, filled with wit, charm, and Haydn’s flair for the unexpected.

Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Parking Details: Ample street parking is available on Pearl Street, 16th Street, and 17th Street, as well as surrounding residential streets.

Parking Details: Ample street parking is available on Pearl Street, 16th Street, and 17th Street, as well as surrounding residential streets.

After the concert performance, we can enjoy a cup of coffee at a nearby coffee house, chat, and get to know each other better:
