I am so looking forward to the meeting of Valley Gals Book Club! I love hearing all the different views on each of the books we have read.

As always, make sure to change your RSVP 24 hours before the event.

When you attend please bring a book suggestion that is the first in a series, more than 2 books. I will need the title of the first book and the author. If you have more than one series bring those too.

November - West with Giraffes – Lynda Rutledge
It is a blend of adventure, historical saga, and coming-of-age love story, offering a unique exploration of the profound impact animals can have on our lives.

December - Where the Crawdads Sing – by Dilia Owens
The book follows the life of Kya, a young woman who lives in the marshes of North Carolina. Abandoned by her family, she grows up isolated from society but forms a deep connection with the natural world around her.

We will meet at Millie's Restaurant. 16840 Vanowen St, Van Nuys. It is an all American Diner.

I started this game day for fun and I realize there are so many different rules for this game and many of you have played it with different rules and regulations. So...

🃏I am going to have to insist that we play according to rules that Patty taught us in the beginning with a couple of changes due to time constraints. We are a mix bunch of ladies that have played, played some, and not played. I want to keep it fun and lively while enjoying making friends.

We've secured a great spot where you can indulge in delicious treats and refreshing drinks. Let's get together, enjoy some good food and an enjoyable time. Please make sure that you buy something from the café.

This month, our Mason Jar Meal Swap is going to mix things up a bit!

We will still share a fabulous meal where we will swap our individual portion-sized pint jars. But this month our jars will be full of cookies!

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT:
❄️ We are waiting for the Holiday/Christmas Pop-Ups to be posted by our venues, hence, the location is not known right now. We are pretty sure that it will be in the Hollywood area, though.

❄️ Exact location will be updated once location has been given. Make sure that you check your Meetup email messages and Meetup Event page for this update.

WHAT IS A MEAL SWAP:
❄️ A meal swap is when you gather with friends and bring a collection of already-made, meals to trade with one another. (Cookies, in this instance)

❄️ Each participant brings the required number of individual, pint-sized portions of the same cookies and takes home the same number of jars of cookies (made by the other people).

If your cookies do not fit in the jar. You may bring them in whatever container you wish to give the cookies away in. HOWEVER YOU MUST BRING THE CORRECT NUMBER OF PINT JARS WITH YOU, AS WELL! VERY IMPORTANT!!

❄️You make one recipe. But, you make multiple servings of it.

❄️ All cookies should be homemade.

❄️Pick whatever vegetarian recipe you want to make (eggs and dairy may be used)...your Grandma’s famous Snicker Doodle? Go for it! Want to try a new cookie recipe? Yes, go for it!
