When you RSVP, please indicate, in the comments, the category of treat you’ll bring: appetizer, salad, main dish, or dessert. BYOB (beverage of choice). Please indicate if you can help with either set up or clean up.
**What is a Yankee Swap?**
This a fun, secret gift exchange. Each person brings a gift-wrapped item with a value less than $20. The gift should be new and unused. Suggestions include:
(1) something you received as a gift, but want to get out of the way because it is hideous, useless, too fancy, difficult to use, or the wrong color, OR
(2) a purchased gift that is either unusual, whimsical, or funny OR
(3) a purchased gift that is useful and nice to have.
Each person selects a number, then players take turns selecting a gift-wrapped item. Once the gift is opened, that player can either keep that gift, or “swap” it for one that was previously opened. Lots of laughs, but participation is optional.
