The Story Talk Game for Kids, Parents, Grandparents, and Teachers

Calling all parents, grandparents, and kids! Join us for a special event hosted by the Laguna Hills Single Parents and Kids Meetup Group. Our "Story Talk Game Time" event will be a fun gathering of kids and adults where a shared book, Thank You, Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco, will be talked about through reusable generic questions and strategies that make any story pop with inspiration, meaning, critical thinking, empathy, kindness, and positive communication. This event is aimed at fostering a love for reading and communication among kids and families and providing a supportive environment for single parents to connect and share experiences through a story.
Let's come together as a community to encourage literacy, bond over books, and create lasting memories with our children. Whether you're a single parent looking for support or a teacher passionate about instilling a love for reading in young minds, this event is perfect for you.

Please read Thank You, Mr. Falker together (kids and adults) just prior to our meeting. It will take about 15 minutes; it is read online, but having the book is much better. You can get it from your library or online.
Please bring an unlined pages notebook or journal, or a small stack of unlined paper for each participant, pencils, markers, and/or crayons and an index card for each player for their scores.
