Lake County Bicycle Group

The Lake County Bicycle Group (LCBG) was established to connect casual, long-distance cyclists in the Lake County, IL area with other like-minded folks for camaraderie and fun! Rides are offered for advanced beginner / intermediate group riders - both road and trail - for round-trip distances of 20 miles plus in a non-competitive, friendly atmosphere. You won't find any hammerfests or pace lines here! Class 1 electric bikes are welcome; spandex is optional :-)

We host regularly scheduled rides in and around Lake County as well as participate in events open to the general public, such as BCLC Ramble and Bike the Drive. Jaunts to local hangouts - breakfast, pizza, or brews, anyone? - in addition to destination day trips and overnight treks are also part of our itinerary; occasional off-bike events are offered as well.
