Brinscall, Wheelton and Withnell Fold - 6 miles

Putting on this walk on again - with preference given to those cancelled from 10th Oct.

A 6 mile - ish, walk from Brinscall, taking in Wheelton, Withnell Fold and the Thirlmere Aquduct via field, farm and canal paths. Leaving Brinscall past Brinscall Hall, we take field and road to Wheelton to join the canal. Passing the Thirlmere viaduct we leave the canal at the garden village of Withnell Fold - built in 1843 to house mill workers. After exploring here, we continue to Withnell via field paths before returning to Brinscall via the nature trail. Will be muddy in places - bring poles.

Total ascent 551 feet. Couple of awkward stiles.

Dress for mixed weather, bring lunch and drinks

Usual rules for dogs - well behaved dogs on short lead at all time. 3 dogs max per walk - please indicate in bringing dog.
