What we’re about

Language Exchangers Shanghai is dedicated to a real international social community for both Expats and Chinese who live in Shanghai PRC. It was born on Friday, 4th September 2020, when 17 people of five different nationalities met in a small bar called beer lady of Shanghai to chat in English and Mandarin, and to have a few drinks.

The following week a group of 21 fellows met together. Since then the event has continued to grow day by day, now more than 130 people participate weekly! As the language exchange continued to grow it moved to larger venues but remained faithful to frequency and values.

Currently, you can practice any language of which there’re native speakers, the most practiced ones are English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German, French, and etc.
