Come Wednesday, November 13, to Language Swap at Ding Tea. We are going to try to recommence biweekly events for those who do not have the time to join us at our principal Saturday event. This will not replace the Saturday meeting. This meeting will be just as normal Language Swap. In the future, we may introduce events with particular themes targeted to specific languages, game nights, and film soirées. We may even bring back Language Swap speed dating which was popular in the past. We welcome feedback and ideas. If anyone would like to signal their interest for the future, or would like to offer feedback in some kind of way, we welcome them to message us. Any other questions and concerns we will be happy to address as well. If the interest is sufficient to continue doing a second event in the winter, at least some weeks even if we do not have two events every week, we will keep the Wednesday event in the evening time.
Parking: There is a parking area at Ding Tea.
Food and Drink: Ding Tea serves a huge variety of beverages and snacks.
Whether you speak a foreign language, are learning a new language, or just want to make friends from the US and around the world, meet us at Ding Tea for a fun, international evening.
So, what is the Language Swap? At its core, it is a place to practice languages in an informal and real way, talking with native speakers and other learners. More than that, it’s a place to make international connections, and we’d love to have you whether you are a fluent speaker or a day 0 beginner.
There will be tables for various languages. Which ones changes every event, but there will almost always be an opportunity to practice English, Spanish, and French. Other languages may appear each week based on our attendees!
Who can attend:
Anyone! This event is open to all levels (and languages!).
Hope you can join us and learn (or share) something new!
