Language Swap Tucson

Whether you speak a foreign language, are learning a new language, or just want to make friends from the US and around the world, meet us at the La Vita House for a fun, international evening.

So, what is the Language Swap? At its core, it is a place to practice languages in an informal and real way, talking with native speakers and other learners. More than that, it’s a place to make international connections, and we’d love to have you whether you are a fluent speaker or a day 0 beginner.

There will be tables for various languages. Which ones changes every event, but there will always be an opportunity to practice English, Spanish, and French. Other languages may appear each week based on our attendees!

Where to find us:

• This event is held in the courtyard of the La Vita House, just minutes from the University of Arizona at Speedway and 2nd Ave. Free street parking is available on 2nd after 5 pm (and all day on weekends). There's an entrance on 2nd Ave (despite the Speedway address).

Cold weather plan:

• There is a firepit! If the weather is a bit chilly, we can make a fire.

Monsoon plan:

• Our event meets outdoors! We have a large overhead covering we can set up if it rains. In the event of a severe storm (i.e. lightning and/or strong winds) we will likely have to cancel.

.Yum:

• There may be food. Potluck-style contributions or donations are always welcome!

Who can attend:

• Anyone! This event is open to all levels (and languages!).

Come Wednesday, December 4th @ 5:30 pm to Language Swap at the Tucson Hop Shop.

Parking: There is a parking area in the front of the complex off Dodge Blvd. The #11 and #34 buses pass by the area.

Food and Drink: Tucson Hop Shop serves a huge variety of beer and wine. Ciao Down Pizza sits across the patio and serves great pizza, cream soda and sparkling water.
