Sky Meadows! (6.8 Miles, 1322' Elevation Gain) and Lark Brewing
Details
Sky Meadows is exactly what it sounds. Meadows up in the sky! It’s a moderately difficult 6.8 mile 1322 ft elevation hike at Sky Meadow’s state park, with information at: https://www.kidsinparks.com/sky-meadows-state-park. Expect a steep incline for about an hour at the start of the hike.
We'll meet in the visitor's center parking lot for the park (found here: 38°59'30.6"N 77°57'58.0"W) at 10:00 AM. Sky Meadows is about an hour and a half from DC, and the address for the park entrance is:
11012 Edmonds Ln
Delaplane, VA 20144
The park’s parking lot has plenty of parking, but if you’d like to guarantee yourself a spot, you can get there earlier. There’s an old house and a shop to explore while you wait!

We'll be moving at about 1.5 - 2.5 mph and we'll stop for frequent water breaks. The views are stunning, especially at the top, where there is plenty of space to have a small lunch before we head back down and check out the following brewery:
Lark Brewing

Aldie, VA 20105

We hope to see you on the trail!
