Laughter Yoga at Philly's Lloyd Hall
Details
When's the last time you've had a good laugh that lasted more than 3 seconds?
Feel the stress melt away as you welcome more laughter into your life and begin to feel energized, uplifted, more positive, hopeful, confident, connected and healthy- all because of this amazing global laughter exercise program called Laughter Yoga.
Created in 1995 by physician Dr. Madan Kataria, it is now being practiced by people 5-105 in more than 120 countries.
To benefit, all you need is the willingness to laugh more and to connect with your diaphragm.
Laughter Yoga is the combination of mindful laughter exercises based on everyday situations (rather than on jokes or comedy + Yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) . We finish our practice with a yoga nidra power down meditation.
All exercises are simple, easy and effective. We choose to laugh for our HEALTH. In doing so, we reduce stress, boost resilience and foster overall well-being for body, mind and spirit.
No experience necessary. No yoga poses, no mats.
All exercises can be practiced seated or standing/moving around.
Non religious and non political. We enjoy coming together to laugh with eachother , in support of one another, instead of at each other.
Join us Tuesdays at Boathouse Row's Lloyd Hall from 6-7 PM
This is a FREE social laughter club, led by Bill Powell, Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and Performance Coordinator for Philly Parks and Rec.
