What we’re about
Are you looking for a fun and healthy way to explore the great outdoors? Join our hiking club! Our group is a great place to get exercise, breathe fresh air, and make new friends while enjoying some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the area. Our hikes start early in the morning (usually starting around 8:30 or 9am).
We will hike moderate to intermediate trails, mostly within an hour's drive of Lawrenceville. Hikes will range from 6-8 miles normally, with some hikes up to 12 miles. The pace will usually be 2.5 - 3 miles per hour. We keep a steady, strenuous pace and ask that participants stay up with the group. Always bring water with you, and sun protection.
The main trails will be Fort Yargo, Tribble Mill, Harbins, Yellow River, Arabia, Stone Mountain, Ivy Creek Greenway, Elachee, Sandy Creek, Big Haynes Creek, and Little Mulberry.
We welcome all skill levels but participants should be able to maintain a strenuous pace with the group at 2.5-3 mph.
Annual donation: Please donate $12 per year to cover Meetup costs
In addition to the physical benefits of hiking, our club is a great place to connect with like-minded people who share a passion for nature and adventure. You'll have the opportunity to meet new friends, exchange stories and tips, and create lasting memories while exploring some of the most stunning scenery in the region.
This group is for adults ages 18 and up only. Each attendee must RSVP on Meetup and can bring one adult 18+ guest.
