Wildfire in the Bosque! Black Friday Burn Scar Walk

In May 2022, approximately 34 acres of this section of the bosque caught fire, with the fire leaping across the river before it was finally put out. Over a year later, the scars are still quite obvious but we'll be seeing LOTS of growth (mostly invasive species) among the burn.

This will be an approximately 2.75 mile loop through the bosque, crossing through this old scar. We'll be looking out for the sandhill cranes and porcupines!
