SOUL LINE DANCING is group dancing and we do it VIRTUALLY and IN PERSON for FITNESS and for FUN! Classes are offered weekly for beginner through advanced line dancers and everyone is welcome. Membership is recommended but not required to attend classes. Prospective members are encouraged to take at least one to two classes prior to submitting a request for membership, to see if 'urban line dancing' with us really works for you. Please locate the class(es) you are interested in taking on our meetup page and send an email to [email protected] to RSVP (before joining).
The GREAT thing about Line Dancing is you don't need a partner yet, you will NEVER dance alone!!!!!

This session is recommended for intermediate and up students. Beginners interested in class at Chavis are encouraged to check out the Friday class.
Join us at John Chavis Memorial Park for some Urban / Soul Line Dancing. We will be dancing inside the main building unless otherwise stated in the comments or Meet Up description. The capacity for this is currently set for 30 people, not including me. Be sure to check in at the front desk for the specific room we will be in.
There are plenty of chairs available so, no need to bring your own chair unless you are particular. :)
I will do some instruction and then we will just dance for whatever time remains. When it comes to requests during the dance/practice segment, you are welcome to request dances that you have learned in other classes from groups.
****HOW TO PAY*****
If you would like to pay online in advance, you can do so at least one day before by using this link. Please ignore the date range for the class. This series of classes does not have an end date. You can bisit t. FYI, you will be prompted to setup an account, if you don't have one with reclink already. If you do not pay one or more days ahead of time, you will have to pay at the front desk the day of.Please be sure to pay before coming in. If you are preferring to pay on site, you will need to check in at the front desk to do so. I cannot take money myself. You are supposed to be able to use cash, check, card, or Apple Pay. Exact change is needed, if you're paying with cash, unless you want to have the change added to your account as credit for future classes.

If you're brand new to Hip Hop Soul Line Dancing, or simply have been out of action for some time and want to get back into the swing of things, this is the class for you. Even if you are experienced, we recommend this class for the sake of fine tuning the fundamentals of line dancing.

Join us at John Chavis Memorial Park Friday nights. We will be dancing inside the Multipurpose Room 2, which is upstairs by the elevator inside the main building. If and when weather permits, we'll be outside of the main building, as seen in the picture of this meetup. The capacity for this is currently set for 30 people, not including me. Once the session begins, the doors will be locked. You can still be allowed in if you are running late. Just knock to get someone's attention.There are plenty of chairs available for you to pull out so, no need to bring your own chair unless you are particular. :)
*****CLASS DETAILS*****
The objective of this class is to teach you what the basic line dance steps are, including the differences between Country Western Line Dancing vs Hip Hop Soul Line Dancing. You will also learn the fundamental terminology and concepts associated with executing these steps. Lastly, you will be groomed for following voice instruction. Towards the end of each class, what you have learned for the day will be reinforced with beginner line dances to test your knowledge. There will be plenty of music and movement so come comfortable and prepared to sweat.****HOW TO PAY*****
