What we’re about
Please read all this introduction before joining this group.
Le Chéile - Irish for "Together" or "Combined"
This is a group for people who would like to become fit, through running and other activities, together, with other, like minded, people. The ethos of this group is to bring beginner runners up to being able to run 5k, at a relaxed pace, without walking, and then to nurture them to continue running.
We will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week, and will start each session with a light set of stretching and warm up exercises. We will then go for a jog, where we will coach you until you can run 5km without walking. We will provide you with all the help that you will require to accomplish this.
All in all the entire session should last about an hour. There will be nothing extreme, as we will pace ourselves according to the fitness of the group on the day. Usually we will finish off the session, after our cool down, with a coffee and chat at the Dash coffee shop at the Hole in the Wall pub.
Our Saturday events are geared towards intermediate and competent runners, and there will be no "Hand Holding" on these events.
If you RSVP yes for a session, and must cancel, please update your RSVP.
PLEASE NOTE:
Any run or activity that you participate in with the group will be at your own risk.
If you don't attend an event for a 3 month period you will be dropped from the group, with the option on returning when you're in a position to run with us again.
