Dickens On The Strand

Galveston's Dickens On The Strand is always a colorful and photogenic time. With strolling carolers, costumed reenactors, bagpipe bands, and lots more, you can count on plenty of photo opportunities. Let's meet at Rudy's at 9:00 a.m. to carpool/caravan to Galveston, then come home when we get tired. Activities will run pretty much all day, with the queen's parade in the afternoon.

You don't need a long lens for this. A kit lens, something along the lines of a 28-80 mm equivalent, will be pretty near perfect. So would a 35 mm prime or a 50 mm prime.
