Welcome to Leeds Mountain Bikers (LMB). We meet regularly for adventurous and challenging off-road rides and our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to enjoy our sport, with all the benefits of riding in a social group.
We welcome new members, but please understand that while many of our riders have a lot of experience, we do not hold any formal qualifications and we are not instructors, mentors nor technical experts. We will always help and support each other when needed, and will never leave a group member behind, but all riders must accept that mountain biking is a dangerous sport, and that individual riders are responsible for their own safety.
Please make sure you read our 'About' page, here on Meetup for full details on how our events work. You will be required to complete a 'Rider Information Form' and to sign our 'Participation Statement and Acceptance of Risk' as conditions of riding with us.

RIDE GRADING

10:15am for 10:30am start

Visitor Centre car park, Dalby Forest, Low Dalby, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 7LT
RIDE DESCRIPTION
This ride starts on the usual first red climb and first descent. We then loop into some more climbing on the blue trail. From here we veer off the main trails for a selection of off-piste trails. This is more about going round in circles, while having a laugh on short, but technical trails. Expect it to be muddy and some trails may be damaged. It's all about exploring and there will be lots of stopping and potentially walking some trails first. We then finish on the last couple red descents to the main carpark. We should be riding around 20km.
Depending on conditions of the off-piste, we might end up riding parts of the red trail instead.
APPROXIMATE DISTANCE / DURATION / ASCENT
Around 20-25km / 3-4 hours
RECOMMENDATIONS
Suitable clothing including wet weather protection, spare inner tubes / patches, chain links, lube, enough food and water for the duration of the ride - energy drinks, energy bars, bananas, clif bars, fruit malt loaf etc.
SAFETY
Mandatory helmet and knee pad requirement to ride.
