PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION.

The grounds & gardens of Ripley castle are free to visit on the day, as it's the last Sunday of the month when the Real market is on in the courtyard. We can do a short walk at the side of the castle on hollybank lane and round on a loop across fields, about 4.5 miles, then into the grounds and round the deer park, ending at the market, then into the pub.

PLEASE ONLY RSVP YES IF YOU DEFINITELY PLAN TO ATTEND & ARE COMFORTABLE WALKING AT A LEISURELY (SLOWISH) PACE. People who repeatedly RSVP yes then cancel their place **WILL** be moved back to the waitlist (if we have one) & removed from the group if this continues.

\*NOTE: Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the deer park, but are allowed everywhere else.

Meeting in Ripley car park (HG3 3AY) to leave at 11.00 prompt. As there is now a charge for parking in the main car park (£3.50 for 6 hours), please make sure that you bring some change.£1 of that is redeemable in the pub and shops. Free parking dotted about the village if you can find it.

£2.00 walk fee if not a subscriber (please bring exact amount if possible), waterproofs, packed lunch, snacks & drink etc, as required

Well behaved dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead where necessary & under close control at all times.

DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE IN ANY WAY FEELING UNWELL.

Please remember that we are not insured, any member taking part in our walks does so at their own risk and remains responsible for their own safety.
Can we also please ask that you STAY WITH THE GROUP & DO NOT WALK OFF AHEAD OF THE EVENT HOST. As we'll be walking at a leisurely (slowish) pace, should anyone get too far ahead & take a wrong turn we will assume that you know the route & you will not be called back.
