Walk around Normandale Lake
Details
„In November, the trees are standing all sticks and bones. Without their leaves, how lovely they are, spreading their arms like dancers.“
Cynthia Rylant
Let’s continue our series of ‚Walks Around The Lake‘.
Join our group for another walk around one of the gorgeous lakes in the Twin Cities: Normandale Lake.
Normandale Lake, south of Interstate 494 in Bloomington, is a man-made lake. The District converted it to a lake from a wetland in the late 1970s for flood control.
The trail around the lake is 1.9 miles and is paved. It has a beautiful little waterfall. There are lots of spots/benches to stop and watch the wildlife or enjoy the views of the lake.
This walk will be led by Gundula.
She will be wearing a rainbow colored bandana around her neck.
Our group will meet in the parking lot on CHALET ROAD (see below pictures) in front of the parking lot building. Parking is free.
Please be on time.
For our outdoor events, no pets unless the event leader writes they are welcome in the posting.
Keep an eye on this posting as the date or time may change due to weather conditions. All our meetups have a minimum of 5 in order to run.U
