Family Quilt Exhibition @ Kinfolk House, East 820 Fort Worth

This will be an exhibition of Family quilts. Less than two weeks ago, the community art center and gallery, The Kinfolk House, posted a call for artists to submit work for an exhibition on family quilts. Anyone who saw it could enter images of their quilt(s). So, we will have no idea who is in the show till we see it.

The Kinfolk House was the home of the grandmother of famous Fort Worth artist Sedrick Huckaby. Well, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Wort buys his work and is displaying one of his paintings now. So, he's famous to me! Sedrick and his wife have converted the residential home to be a community learning/gathering center and art exhibition space.

Houston based Jamal Cyrus will be in attendance Saturday. So, we can here what he has to say. He did also ask from some local families to exhibit quilts with his.
