We will be doing 2 short walks around Ayr

We start with the Burdekin Bridge. then onto Mt Inkerman

Mount Inkerman is next and is just outside the township of Home Hill-rising to 210 metres above the otherwise flat land of Inkerman.

It will be a hot and steady uphill walk to the lookouts for both hills

The walk itself will be at the most 1.5 hrs - not long, but quite hot.

The walks will give you an opportunity to get views of the Burdekin Region's contrasting scenery of native bushland, cane farms and coastline.

Lunch at a local cafe in Ayr

Fitness Level - it is VITAL that you factor in your ability to walk in the heat when you RSVP.
Heat stress can happen very easily if we are not careful.

All are welcome as far as fitness goes, if you have done Castle Hill in Townsville, you will be ok - Again, just remember it will be really hot, so factor that in your decision to do the walk.

MEETING POINT:
If you wish to car pool, please be at the Annandale Shopping Centre carpark [the end closer to KFC] at 5:45 AM

What to bring for the walk:

* Plenty of water and electrolytes - This will be a hot walk WITH NO SHADE
* Sunscreen, Broad Hat/Cap,
sun safe clothing, sunnies
* Wear comfortable shoes
* snacks for morning tea
* First aid kit
* Camera
* Spare shirt to change into after the walk.
