If you're looking to get away from the maddening crowd at Wekiva Springs, then come to Katie's Landing on the Lower Wekiva for a more peaceful, tranquil setting. Katie's Landing has a beautifully shaded picnic area where we enjoy a picnic after the paddle. Keep an eye out for deer on your way down the last road in to Katie's, also for wild turkey at the picnic area and on the road!

In addition to the launch area, Katie's Landing includes parking, restrooms, and picnicing areas. **Katie's Landing does not include rentals** though, so make sure to bring your own equipment before arriving.

If kayaking doesn't appeal, or isn't an option for you, there are trails to hike across the street from Katie's. Other options would be to just relax under the shade and enjoy listening to nature, fishing, reading a good book or playing games with anyone else who didn't paddle or hike.

\*\*\*Hwy 46 has been undergoing extensive road work since we were last at Katie's, so not sure about the address' accuracy. Please allow yourself time to find us.\*\*\*

Keep in mind that even though the trails in Lower Wekiva River Preserve do not require an entrance fee, Katie's Landing does have a **$3.00** parking fee. Just as you enter the parking area be sure to pay the **honor fee** in the box on the right.

Don't forget water, bug spray, sunscreen, chair, snacks or lunch.
