**It's time for our annual holiday shopping trip in the city!!**

This is our tentative schedule -
8:45 a.m. - meet at the downtown Aurora Metra station - 720 N. Broadway. Parking is $2.00. Ticket is $7.00.

9:00 a.m. - TRAIN LEAVES!!
It is an express train. Arrival at 59 is 9:08. Naperville is 9:13.
Diane will be your point person on the train. Marsha is spending the weekend in Chicago, but we will post what car everyone is on.
If you're taking the train, please comment on what stop you're getting on at, so we can keep an eye out for you and all sit together.

9:58 - Chicago arrival at Union Station.
2 people are driving in, so the meetup location will be Marsha's hotel at 500 S. Dearborn, Hotel Blake. It is a 20 minute walk, unless we decide to take an Uber. We'll meet in the lobby. Everyone will have a chance to use the restrooms and there is a cafe where you can get a coffee or hot chocolate, if you want.

10:30 - everyone will meet at Hotel Blake. We will then walk to the Christkindlmarket, which is an 18 minute walk.

11:00 - Christkindlmarket opens.
12:15 - leave Christkindlmarket and walk to the restaurant, Land & Lake Kitchen, at 81 E. Wacker, 12 minute walk.

12:30 - brunch reservations at Land & Lake

They also have unlimited mimosas for $22.

2:00 - leave the restaurant and walk to Macy's, 111 S. State Street, 17 minute walk.
Shopping will be at Macy's, Garrett's, Block 37 and any other place that looks interesting on State.

Now, we can break off the day at this point and catch the 5:30 p.m. train that gets into Aurora at 6:30 OR...

Check out Columbia College's Holiday Market, 619 S. Wabash, 15 minute walk. Everything is $10-$40. Admission is free.

8:33 - 9:51

Some suggestions on things to bring:
1 - singles for any Uber rides
2 - backpack
3 - water bottle
4 - lightweight jacket you can wad up and stuff into your backpack
5 - comfy walking shoes
