Life Drawing Boston

In this workshop we will cover the basics of figure drawing with an emphasis on finding your own voice and approach. Topics covered will include getting the most out of a quick sketch, simplifying the figure for better understanding, the importance of gesture drawing and trying different approaches to get the best result for you.

We provide the model, drawing supplies, snacks, and bumping tunes. Feel free to bring your own sketchbook and tools if desired. There are breaks for socializing, stretching, eating and getting and giving feedback!

We are a group of people who meet every Tuesday to connect with each other, and practice drawing the human form from a live, nude model in a supportive, social environment All skill levels are welcome! Note: This is first come, first served, so get there early to ensure a seat! RSVP-ing does not guarantee you a space!

The session starts with short warm-ups and extends into longer poses, ending with a 30-minute pose. There are breaks for socializing, stretching, eating and getting and giving feedback!

Welcome to LDB's monthly long-pose session. We will be drawing two one-hour-long poses. This is a social night! Come prepared to chat and get to know one-another on a deeper level, & feel free to stay and socialize after poses are over. There will be drinks and a DJ.
