Get ready for a night of language, laughter, and connection at Lingo Fest Greenville! 🌟 Whether you're a seasoned polyglot or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone eager to make new friends and explore diverse cultures.

Event Details:

• When: First Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM
• Where: Southernside Brewing, Unity Park, Greenville

We’ll be meeting at one of the picnic tables in the outdoor area—look for the sign! If you have any trouble finding us, feel free to text Taz on her Google number: 424.625.9884.

What to Expect:

• Greetings, Gab, and the Guardians of the Groove: You’ll be greeted with big smiles from yours truly (Taz), Nick (my partner in crime/life), and Chris (our newest sidekick)—who’s taking charge of our Discord community, keeping things respectful and positive while making sure everyone’s having a blast!
• Guardians of the Groove.. Yep, that's us! Think of us as your language-loving peacekeepers and or guardians of good vibes! (Because someone’s gotta keep it awesome.) If anyone’s vibe throws off the cultural harmony, just pull us aside. We’re all about keeping things positive, respectful, and fun—it’s totally okay to be awkward, but never okay to make others feel uncomfortable! We’re here to make sure everyone’s feeling great and ready to connect. We’ve got your back!
• Your Passport (aka Event Check-in + Name Tags): When you arrive, we’ll guide you to scan the barcode for check-in. Then, grab your name tag and jot down the languages you speak and the ones you’re excited to learn—it’s like matchmaking for language lovers! Find your perfect partner for some real talk.
• Ohh, now we’re almost talkin’!: We’ll kick things off with quick intros to meet your fellow language enthusiasts. It’s gonna be fast, fun, and full of good vibes.
• Chit, Chat & Show Off: Let’s switch it up! We’re breaking into smaller groups based on your target languages. Now’s your time to shine—show off those new language skills! One person asks a question, the other responds in their target language, and then we go round and round. Once your group’s had a go, hop into another group and keep the chatter going.
• Language Bingo: Ready to dive deeper? Use our language prompts to spark some awesome convos, and fill out your Bingo card along the way. Complete it, and you might just snag the title of Language King or Queen of the night!
• The Coronation: The crowning moment has arrived! We’ll crown the Language Bingo winner with a special accolade and celebrate our newly crowned Language Monarch.
• Group Closure: We’ll wrap things up with a group chat, share your thoughts, and make plans for future meetups. Reflect on the laughs, the convos, and all the new language pals you’ve made.
