Mount Apo (2,954m) is a stratovolcano located in Davao, Philippines. It is a challenging trek with many different and exciting terrains. There are many different trails leading to the summit and back. It is closed every year and only opens from September onwards.

Who is this for?
This is for anyone who wishes to challenge themselves with their first camping experience, climbing up boulders, or Philippines mountain. It is for people who also wish to do a multi-day trek with camping. If you are looking for a rewarding trek or looking to try your first multi-day trek after Mount Ophir.

What is required?
Being open-minded and being willing to camp is important. This is not a luxury trip. Being willing to use your hands and climb up boulders.

A lot of perseverance is and willpower is required for this trek. Fitness helps to maximize success, it would be good to join the training sessions. Be prepared to walk 6-8h per day during the trek.

Highlight
The main highlights are the steep boulder face and the lake! Actually, the truth is the main highlight would be experiencing the Philippines mountains and style for hiking.

Itinerary:
Day 1 (Wed) - Flight to Davao, Free and easy.
Day 2 (Thurs) - Start trek, reach base camp/camp at Lake Venadao
Day 3 (Friday) - Boulder face - summit, descend to Lake Venadao, camp on the exit route
Day 4 (Sat) - Wake up, exit route back to Davao. Free and easy.
Day 5 (Sun) - Back to SG.
Itinerary is subject to changes based on conditions and group speed and trek leader's discretion

Trek Cost: ~450 SGD
