18:00, we'll move on to If This Were Played Upon A Stage Now: Adapting Shakespeare with Michael Buffong & Ameera Conrad, a fascinating pre-show talk. Here, you'll get an insider's view of what it takes to adapt Shakespeare’s timeless works for the modern stage, led by two acclaimed directors. This engaging discussion will leave you with plenty to consider before the main event.

18:45 After the talk ends, we'll stay in the theatre bar to relax and keep the conversation going while we wait for the show to start.

19:30, we'll settle in for Play On, which promises to bring fresh and exciting interpretations of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night to the stage. Whether you're a die-hard Shakespeare fan or just curious to see a new take on the classics, this double bill will surely be a memorable experience!

Join us for an evening to watch one of my favourite plays. "1984" at the Playhouse is George Orwell's timeless masterpiece, brought to life on stage in a gripping and haunting adaptation. Set in a dystopian future where the omnipresent Big Brother watches every move, this production delves into the terrifying world of surveillance, propaganda, and control. The story follows Winston Smith, a man who dares to defy the oppressive regime, as he navigates a world where truth is twisted and individuality is crushed. With its powerful themes and striking visuals, this adaptation of 1984 promises to be an intense and thought-provoking experience that will leave you questioning the world around you.
