What we’re about

The Local Ladies Social Club is for women, and those who identify as women, aged 40+ who have time during the day (as well as the occasional evening and weekend) to get out, do things, and make friends.

If you are new to the area, have been socially distancing for the past few years, are at a place in your life where you wonder where all your friends went, or you don’t have the avenues to meet new people, this group could be for you.

If you are retired, work from home (at a desk or as a stay-at-home mom), or work part-time, and have free time on your calendar, this group could be for you.

If you like to do any of the following: sharing meals and socializing, meeting friends for coffee and friendly chats, discussing books, going to movies, playing games, taking walks/hikes, attending plays, going to the occasion happy hour (for adult beverages or dessert), or participating in art classes, this could be the group you are looking for.

Most events will take place in and around Vancouver, as well as Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Camas and Washougal, with the occasional event in the Portland area.

Group Guidelines

  1. The Local Ladies Social Club is an inclusive group for all women, including those who identify as women. No discrimination will be tolerated in regards to race, religion, sexual orientation (which includes everything under the LGBTQA umbrella), or disability. If you can’t support and adhere to this, this isn’t the group for you.
  2. Please be cognizant to the fact that everyone has a right to their viewpoints and opinions, but no one has a right to push those beliefs on to other members. If another member is making you uncomfortable, please say something to them and/or say something to me. Disrespecting any member will not be tolerated and will be cause for removal from the group.
  3. If you sign up for an event, but can’t make it, please change your RSVP as soon as you can, both for organizing purposes and because there may be someone on the waitlist. I realize that things happen in life and you may have to cancel last minute, but please keep these to a minimum.
  4. If you are a no show (meaning you did not change your RSVP to no and you didn’t attend) for two (2) events or if you have multiple same day cancellations, you may be removed from the group. Doing this is disrespectful to the host, the venue, and other members that may be on the waiting list.
  5. Members are expected to attend at least 3 events a year. If you aren’t, this may not be the group for you and you may be removed from the group. If you decide you will not be attending any events, please remove yourself from the group.
  6. Before you can attend an in-home event, you must have attended at least one previous event at a public location. This is for the safety of all our members.
  7. Every member should have a headshot of themselves as their profile picture so that we can recognize you at events. It is for the safety of all members. If you have concerns about uploading your photo, please contact the organizer Stacy, to discuss.
  8. If anyone has any suggestions for events, or would like to host an event, let me know!
