Meet at Princess Park Parking Lot. Transit friendly

Meet at 10:00, leave no later than 10:15

I have not been up into the Braemar Reservoir much so this will be somewhat exploratory. Expect some technical sections, with a bit of uphill for the cardio. Dress for the weather and highly recommend good hiking boots. We will turn around if the trails is too rough, slippery, or there's too much water to safely navigate any creek crossings

This walk is dog friendly. Please ensure your dog is properly socialized (with both people and other dogs) and responds to your commands. Respect park leash bylaws.

\- time = approx 3 hours
\- distance = 6 km
\- elevation gain = \~ 120 m

Mixed use trail. Expect to encounter mountain bikers as the upper section is part of the Dempsey/Baden Powel Trail system

Possible route:
\- from Princess Park\, we'll pick up the trail on the north side of the parking lot\, and walk north up to Wellington Drive
\- then west on Wellington Drive for a short distance\, until we come to another trail
\- follow the trail\, cross Princess Ave\, up to Braemar Road East
\- from here\, east on Braemar Road East\, where we pick up the trail again by the tennis courts
\- from here\, we'll hike along the Dempsey Connector a bit
\- we'll exit the trail near Dempsey and Braemar
\- then make our way south along Kilmer\, then Fromme to Chaucer
\- do the loop around Hunter Park
\- then follow the Lynn Valley Link back over to Princess Park

Bring water and a snack. There are water fountains and washrooms at the Princes Park parking lot

Please be courteous and remove your RSVP if you are unable to go in a timely manner. No Shows will not be tolerated - 2 strikes and you will be removed from the group.
