Join me for an exploratory walk though the Grouse Woods neighbourhood over to Skyline Drive and back

The event will run rain or shine. If the road conditions are awful due to ice/snow, will reschedule

Park at Cleveland Dam or, if it's full, try the neighbouring streets

We'll meet by the washrooms at 10am. Leave no later than 10:15. If you are running late, please message me so I know to wait for you

As this is exploratory, I'm not sure what we'll encounter :-)

Likely a mix of sidewalks and neighbourhood trails as we cut through parks. Some elevation gain as it is hilly. We'll be walking approx 2 to 3 hours, depending on how far we walk and my route-finding skills!

Possible route:
\- from Cleveland Dam\, we'll make our way along Prospect\, then up Cliffridge
\- eventually\, we should find the powerline trail\, which we'll follow over to Skyline Drive
\- from there\, we'll walk down Skyline to Montroyal\, exploring the neighbourhood as we eventually make our way back to Cleveland Dam

There are fountains at Cleveland Dam. Not sure if we'll find washrooms or fountains in any of the neighbourhood parks/playgrounds

Bring water and a snack.
Good trail shoes or boots recommended.
Always a good idea to have some kind of traction devices in your pack (nano spikes or yaktrax)

This event is dog friendly (on leash). Your dog must be well socialized and respond to your commands.

Please be courteous and remove your RSVP if you are unable to go in a timely manner. No Shows will not be tolerated - 2 strikes and you will be removed from the group.
