What we’re about
Welcome to the London Christian Contemplatives Meetup Group!
Our Mission: We're building a vibrant community for contemplatives and spiritual seekers rooted in the Christian tradition. We provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your faith, deepen your connection to God, and gain a greater understanding of yourself and the world around you.
Our Inspiration: Our teachings and meditative practices draw wisdom from renowned Christian contemplatives such as Father Richard Rohr, John Main, James Finley, Barbara Holmes, Brian McLaren, Cynthia Bourgeault, Father Thomas Keating (of the Centering Prayer movement), and Thomas Merton among many others. These teachings are deeply rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, pointing us towards our oneness with God and each other.
What You Can Expect From This Meetup:
- Spiritual Guidance: Engage in thoughtful discussions on topics like prayer, scripture, and the wisdom of the Christian mystics.
- Contemplative Practices: Learn and practice techniques that cultivate inner peace, presence, and spiritual growth.
- Supportive Community: Connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for exploring faith and spirituality in a meaningful way.
- Book Studies: Book studies that are designed to help you expand your consciousness, deepen your prayer practice, and strengthen your compassionate engagement with the world.
