Make space for some ME TIME in your busy schedule. Bring along your creative crafting project that you want to work on during this social event for two hours of uninterrupted crafting! Meet other like minded crafters, connect with other makers, be inspired and swap ideas and tips about your craft, whilst enjoying your favourite coffee and cake.
There are no limits as to which craft you can bring along, as long as it can fit on your cafe table space. Crafters have brought along: knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing, patchwork, needle felting, jewellery making, sketching in watercolours, painting in acrylics, cardboard & papier mache modelling, and even poetry writing.
If you want some help with your crafting skills and ideas, why not join our group and see if other crafters can help you out?
All crafters must be 18 years plus. Please buy a Sunday Crafternoon ticket on Eventbrite (£3 plus 96p fee). Alternatively, pay £3 exact cash to the organiser (to cover the Meet Up fee and admin to organise the group).
We meet every other week in the month so please check the schedule for your next Sunday Crafternoon event.
Free parking on Sundays: St George's car park and Lea Road car park (both close to the venue). Most residential streets are free but please check each road's signage. The buses pass the venue on the High Street. Beckenham tram and rail station is a short walk from the venue.
If Sunday Crafternoon members are intending on attending an event, it would be helpful if you could either RSVP on this group, or send Becci Crochet (organiser) a direct message on this platform to say you are coming. This helps in making sure we secure the right number of seats for Crafters to attend the event at the cafe. Many thanks.
For this event, we will also be doing a Stash Swap! If you have any good quality crafting materials that you no longer use but know they would be useful to another crafter, please bring them along. Crafternooners can swap them with each other. You never know, you might want to try out a new craft of interest, or craft some new things ready for gifting for the festive season. The emphasis is on swapping craft materials so there is no need to go out and buy new things to swap. This is a supportive community of crafters so helping crafters by sharing knowledge and materials is very much the joy of this crafting group.
