At the end of another great year please join me in “The Josephine Room” at The Jugged Hare for our Christmas Party!

The Jugged Hare is a fantastic British gastro pub for lunch, dinner or drinks in London. Situated next to the Barbican Centre on the corner of Chiswell Street and Silk Street. The pub forms part of the famous old Grade II-listed Whitbread Brewery. The venue, with majestic taxidermy lining the walls at each turn, also features an open kitchen where customers can watch the team prepare and serve their food from a state-of-the-art eight-spit rotisserie as well as a charcoal grill.

“We focus on using the finest, seasonal British ingredients highlighting game, foraging and wild food. Provenance and sustainability are at the heart of our offering, and we work with some of Britain’s best suppliers to bring you a daily changing menu.”

There is also a 'walk-in' wine room where guests can handpick their favourite bottle of red whilst a window through to the kitchen's 'cold room' showcases the ageing process of meat or hanging game. The Jugged Hare is a celebration of good food and wine, and the choice of four British cask ales - including their very own Jugged Hare pale ale - means there's plenty for the beer lovers too.

The Josephine Room bears both the name of the celebrated Champagne maker's daughter and the name of its prestige cuvée. The stunning private room Josephine features vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and restored Champagne racks.

We will be dining from the Christmas menu which offers **2/3 courses for £65/£75 with a glass of fizz on arrival.**

**Mains**

* Roast breast of Norfolk Bronze turkey, sourdough bread sauce, pigs in blankets, pork & apricot stuffing, braised chestnuts & Brussels sprouts, goose fat roast potatoes, carrots & parsnips, Christmas gravy
* Wild Suffolk venison haunch, braised leg croquette, spiced red cabbage, broccoli, game jus
* Peterhead cod, smoked haddock mash, kale, garlic & brown butter sauce
* Celeriac, spelt & wild mushroom risotto, salsa verde (pb)

**Puddings**

* Christmas pudding, brandy custard
* Sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch sauce, vanilla ice cream
* Baked cheesecake, berry compote (pb)
* Dark chocolate tart, whipped crème fraîche

We will be asking for a deposit on this meetup of £73.10 for 2 courses including service charge or £84.37 for 3 courses including service charge.

There will be an initial deposit of £25 including £5 PayPal/Organiser fee.

**To avoid excessive fees the balance of £53.10 for 2 courses or £64.37 for 3 courses is to be paid direct to me via Paypal(Friends & Family) within 24 hours.**

IF YOU CAN NO LONGER ATTEND YOU WILL NEED TO SELL YOUR SPOT TO SOMEONE ON THE WAITLIST. Please DO NOT change your RSVP to NO, but instead place a comment on the event to sell your spot and message an organiser or host.
