Hike is free of charge No hiking guide fee. Providing you get the FREE passcode from the host Via WhatsApp group for this event. Otherwise if you are not on WhatsApp group then a hiking guide fee of £10 is applicable.

One of the most popular Hiking Events In the Surrey Hills Area. And one of the most beautiful Hikes that can be done in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural beauty.

Not to be missed. This event is only done 1 or 2 times per year. We will not repeat it again for at least another 6 months.

Full of natural beauty and natural history. Very beautiful Scenic picturesque views.
Bring your 📷 camera and dress appropriately for the weather forecast. Hiking shoes are absolutely necessary.

Meeting Point

Meet under the main Central Clock.
London Waterloo station 8.25 am prompt - for the 9.00am train to guildford. Try to get there earlier than 8:25 am so you will have time to find the group.

From Guildford Station we will walk The North Downs Way to Martha’s Hill and more. Enjoy the Outdoors. Relaxed pace) (2 miles per hour).

We will meet under the Main Central Clock. WhatsApp group communication is important so you can find the meeting point and the group.

By purchasing the Train tickets in groups of 3 or more people together we will save 30% on Train tickets.

Your return group train travel will be approx. £14 per person from London Waterloo Station to Guildford Station.

I will update this Via WhatsApp nearer the date with any changes.
£14 each. Group Return Train ticket from London Waterloo- to- Guildford. Please bring your money in cash only. No Bank transfer is allowed as No time. Will be in a rush.

Hiking fee:

£10 is your hiking guide fee.
(Hiking guide fee is waived if you have passcode from host).
£14 is your return train tickets.
Bring cash to get your group save tickets. Purchase train tickets from the ticket office and not from the ticket machines. Train Ticket office to get individual printouts. Ticket machines do not give individual printouts for groups.

You can also meet us at Guildford train station at 9.30 or travel by car and park in various paid car parks in Guildford. This is down to you to find and meet us outside Guildford Train Station at 9.35 am Prompt.

Planned arrival time back to London Waterloo will by 7:00 pm

Whether you are a serious hiker or just want something light and easy this hike has it all, from a gentle stroll along the River Way, to challenging hill climbs with fantastic views. We will not leave anyone behind and you will have frequent water stops and photo opportunities.

Guildford is a beautifully charming town in Surrey, The hike will take us out along the River way, before heading up to Chantries Wood, Chilworth Gunpowder Mills, and back down to newlands corner with fantastic views across the Surrey Hills & The North Downs Way, before returning we will be able to visit St Martha’s Hill Church.

Our hike will take us through beautiful countryside, expansive open woodlands along the River Way. Guildford is famous for its historic buildings and cobbled street, of which we will see many, there are truly breathtaking views from St Martha’s Hill for as far as you can see.

6 hours maybe 7 Hours
Distance 10 to 12 miles approximately . Hilly a bit. Will make it shorter this time around.

Food
We will stop during the hike for a snack lunch so please bring packed lunches and drink. Water stops will be frequent please bring 2 litres of water.

What to bring
Suitable hiking clothes & footwear - ideally hiking shoes. Hat gloves if cold, water proof jacket and trousers. Dress appropriately for the weather
Hiking boots are advisable. Some areas during the hike will be dense and muddy.

Clarification on the weather will be posted Via WhatsApp nearer to the walk.

Probability of rainfall is not important. Volume of rainfall expected is more important information than probability of rainfall. This event will not be cancelled regardless unless there is an emergency situation.

By participating you understand that the host and organiser is not liable or responsible for your health and safety. This is a hobby group. You as an individual bear full responsibility for your own safety.

If your profile photo or your profile name does not comply with the terms and Conditions set by admin which are stated on the first page of this meetup group, then your profile will be removed and banned permanently from all future events.
