Originally owned by the Gardiner family, Suffolk's first non-native landowners, and later it was the right-of-way for the Gardiner’s to access the bay from their historic Sagtikos Manor Estate which is across the street. It is preserved as a museum.

Gardiner Park is now a 231 acre nature-oriented public park on the Great South Bay.

Dogs are welcome here, but please don't bring you pooch on this walk.

Directions: The park entrance is south of Montauk Highway (Route 27A), about one-half mile east of the Robert Moses Causeway, where Manor Ln meets rte. 27A.

No restrooms.
