Description:
Are you ready to rise to the challenge of the incredible Lantau Trail? This 70-kilometer journey, divided into 12 thrilling sections, promises a breathtaking adventure across diverse landscapes, from stunning
coastlines to majestic mountains!
-Section 1: Starting the Adventure
We’ll kick things off along the scenic South Lantau Road, making our way to Nam Shan. But that's just the beginning! Get ready for a rewarding climb up Sunset Peak, where the real adventure awaits.
-Section 2: The Climb and Descent
The trail leads us through lush forests, opening up to magnificent views beyond the tree line. One of our highlights will be the Lantau Ying Campsite—an inviting series of huts perfect for a quick breather. Although we won't quite summit, we’ll skirt around the peak, soaking in panoramic vistas before plunging into an exhilarating descent to Pak Kung Au. Let’s conquer this trail together and make unforgettable memories! 🥾✨
What to bring:
- 3-4 liters of water (no exceptions)
- Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc) (no exceptions)
- Hiking shoes with good support
- Sunglasses
- Headgear (cap/hat)
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- In case of Rain: plan accordingly
Toilets: I do not know if there are any along the way. You might need to get creative : )
Stores: It is best to come prepared with food and water.
Meeting Point: Mui Wo Pier 6 - Central
Time: 8:50 am (SHARP!) Ferry leaves at 9:00 am.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 8:55 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give me time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
