Description:
Hey, Adventurers! Are you prepared to tackle the next leg of our Lantau Trail journey? Sections 3 and 4 promise to be both challenging and rewarding as we explore some of the most stunning landscapes on Lantau Island!
-Section 3: Pak Kung Au to Ngong Ping
Our adventure begins with a climb to the majestic Lantau Peak, also known as Fung Wong Shan. This is the highest point on the island, and the views are absolutely breathtaking! Be ready for a tough trek, but the stunning panoramas will make every step worth it. Once we reach Ngong Ping, we'll have a chance to refuel at the village at Ngong Ping 360
-Section 4: Ngong Ping to Man Cheung Po
As we continue from Ngong Ping 360 to Man Cheung Po, we'll refill our water bottles and get on our way! This stretch is dry, and we'll be able to refill again at the public toilets or the filtered water station by the monastery kiosk. From there, we’ll make our way down Keng Shan Road, ready to take on the next stage of our epic adventure. Let’s keep pushing forward and make unforgettable memories together!
What to bring:
- 3-4 liters of water (no exceptions)
- Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc) (no exceptions)
- Hiking shoes with good support
- Sunglasses
- Headgear (cap/hat)
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- In case of Rain: plan accordingly
Toilets: I do not know if there are any along the way. You might need to get creative : )
Stores: It is best to come prepared with food and water.
Meeting Point: Central Pier 6 to Mui Wo. Once everyone, we'll navigate on bus to Pak Kung Au.
Once everyone arrives, we'll navigate on bus to Keung Shan Picnic site off Sham Wat Road.
Time: 8:50 am (SHARP!) Ferry leaves at 9:00 am.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 8:55 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give me time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
