Road bike ride - THURSDAY Nov. 14th
Details
If the temp is not predicted to be above 40 at the start time of the ride, or there is not more than 4 people signed up, it will likely be cancelled. Check back.
IMPORTANT: Please be sure to read the description of the ride (i.e., pace, distance, time) to be sure this is an appropriate ride for you (i.e., pace too slow?, pace too fast?, distance and/or time too long, too short?)
As I've mentioned, we are looking for more people to post/lead different rides on different days, times, etc. This is a long-running, well-established cycling Meetup group with over 1500 members. It's a shame we don't utilize it more and get more cyclists connected doing something we are passionate about.
Let’s get out there, if the weather cooperates, for a 20-30 mile ride at an avg. pace of approx. 12-14 mph. (This is the resulting average pace at the end of the ride, meaning there are times we’ll be going 10mph and times when we’ll be going 20mph)
We will meet at the Longmont Senior Center entrance/parking lot/picnic table area. We'll do introductions and head out. Route tbd - open to suggestions.
Be sure to check back in case of weather-related cancellations.
These rides are primarily on road but occasionally include brief sections on some hard-packed/gravel trails, which are typically not a problem for road bikes.
Let me know if anyone is interested in posting/leading rides. I work full time so will not be able to post/lead on a regular basis.
