- Grief Circle at Santosha Yoga: Holding Space and Moving Through GriefSantosha Yoga Collective, Loomis, CA
Grief is a journey that touches us all. In this somatic-based grief circle, we’ll gather to share, breathe, move, and ground ourselves in community. Whether your grief is fresh or something you’ve carried for years, this circle offers a nurturing environment where you can explore and express your emotions in a supportive group setting.
Our practices will include:
• Personal sharing: Speak from the heart and be heard in a safe, confidential space.
• Grounding exercises: Gentle practices to help you stay rooted as you navigate difficult emotions.
• Movement and breathwork: Somatic-based techniques to help you process grief in a way that honors both body and mind.No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here. We gather on the first Monday of each month at Santosha Yoga in Loomis at 6:9pm. Bring yourself as you are, and together, we will hold space for each other and the transformative power of grief.

River Braun is a Certified Grief Coach and Embodiment Coach with a deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. Specializing in somatic practices and trauma-informed healing, River creates compassionate spaces where people can feel seen, heard, and held as they navigate their personal grief journeys.
With additional certifications in Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy and Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga, River’s approach blends the wisdom of the body with holistic coaching practices. They believe that true healing comes when we tap into the body’s innate ability to process and release emotions, using movement, mindfulness, and breathwork as tools for transformation. As a queer, transgender coach, River is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe to show up as their authentic selves.In their grief circles, River fosters an environment of trust and connection, helping participants move through grief in a way that honors both their emotional and physical experiences. Whether working one-on-one or in groups, River’s grounded, compassionate presence empowers individuals to hold space for their grief, ultimately finding new ways to heal and move forward with greater peace.
