What we’re about
L.A. Hiking Group is for people looking to meet others interested in walking and hiking for exercise and attending other fun events such as stair climbing, trail running, bicycling, kayaking, skiing, river rafting, etc.
We also host BBQs, parties and other social gatherings. We may even go on exotic vacations, but mostly it is about having fun in the outdoors.
L.A. Hiking Group is a nonprofit public service organization. Lifting people up is our mission. Our event hosts, event organizers, assistant organizers and organizer ("hosts") are all volunteers.
We organize many outdoor adventures in greater L.A. and surrounding areas as well as hiking, camping and backpacking trips to national parks and wilderness throughout California and other states. Our hosts have expertise ranging from beginner, intermediate to advanced level.
The hosts of L.A Hiking Group are not professional hike leaders. You are responsible for yourself. By signing up for our events, you agree not to hold the hosts of L.A. Hiking Group responsible for whatever happens to you on these events.
L.A. Hiking Group does not certify the expertise of our hosts and is NOT responsible for any possible losses and injuries, incidental or otherwise.
For safety and liability reasons, you MUST have a recent profile PHOTO clearly showing your face and carry a personal ID to participate in our events.
